Chairman Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Austin Agada has called for synergy amongst all party members as well as those in public offices to collectively deliver the party’s campaign promises to what he described as the long suffering people of Benue State.

Agada who made the call during a world press conference held at the State Secretariat of the Party yesterday in Makurdi, while reacting to the reversal of court ruling restraining him from parading as the party’s state Chairman, said it has become expedient for him to brief teaming members of the party and the public concerning affairs of the party in Benue State, describing the development as feverish and an unnecessary clandestine plot against state leadership of the party.

He noted with satisfaction that the judiciary which is the statutory arbitar for engendering law and order on February 12 through its learned justice Maurice Ikpambese put a halt to what he described as clandestine moves to truncate his leadership.

The Chairman on behalf of the APC, a party he said was found firmly and deeply rooted in unalloyed respect for the rule of law, commended the judiciary for its courageous stand in the face of daunting challenges.

He also expressed appreciation to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, senator George Akume for his unparalleled devotion to the good fortunes of the party both in Benue and Nigeria, in realization of the renewed hope agenda of president Ahmed Tinubu, describing the SGF as an icon that deserves continuous prayers, best wishes and support.

Agada who reiterated on behalf of the party EXCO support for the APC led administration of Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia, assured that the party under his leadership in the state would continue to forge ahead on an irreversible train of service delivery to the people and called on all and sundry to join the train to avoid being left behind.

” I cannot round up this address without tendering my heart felt gratitude to party stakeholders, faithfuls and Benue citizens who recently trooped out en masse to vote our great party in the just concluded re- run election for Guma1 state constituency” Agada recalled assuring that going forward, Benue APC under his leadership would continue to accommodate all shades of opinions and continuously engage critical stakeholders and party men in general towards making it a people- centered party.

Investigations by Nigerian Concord Newspaper reveal that the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council, Mr. Pius Akutah, has allegedly misappropriated public funds for a lavish lifestyle.

According to our findings, within months of assuming office, Akutah allegedly purchased a bulletproof SUV valued at approximately N850 million. In addition, he is reported to have acquired over twenty exotic SUVs for use as a convoy.

Akutah is also said to have acquired multiple high-value properties, including three in Abuja’s Maitama and Asokoro districts worth over N2 billion, and two in Lagos’ Banana Island valued at N1.8 billion. These acquisitions appear far beyond the scope of his official salary and allowances.

Further investigation suggests that Akutah may be using public funds to support political ambitions, including allegedly grooming militants across 23 local government areas in Benue State for a potential 2027 gubernatorial bid.

Staff of the Shippers Council reportedly claim that Akutah frequently accesses the council’s treasury without proper authorization. Some insiders have indicated that a petition will soon be filed with the EFCC, ICPC, and the Presidency to report his alleged misconduct.
