PFN Commisserates with Akwa Ibom Gov Over Wife’s Death

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) expressed its condolences to Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno following the passing of his wife, Patience, after a brief illness. The PFN’s message, released on Tuesday from the Bureau of Media and Publicity in Ibadan, Oyo State, described the loss as shocking.

In a heartfelt statement, National President Francis Wale-Oke extended prayers and support to the governor and his family during this difficult time. “On behalf of millions of Pentecostals in Nigeria, we hereby extend our heartfelt condolences and sincere prayers to you and your family in this trying moment of your life. Her Excellency was not just a compassionate First Lady, but a mother extraordinary,” Wale-Oke stated.

The PFN also cited scripture from 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 to provide comfort: “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed. We are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.”

Wale-Oke concluded the message by praying for the deceased’s soul to find peace with the Lord and for the governor to receive strength as he continues his ministry and fulfills his responsibilities to the state.
