Sanwo-Olu, Abiodun, and Others Honor First Lady Oluremi Tinubu and Actor Lere Paimo at Yoruba Youth Leadership Summit

Ibadan, Nigeria — Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, and other dignitaries gathered at the University of Ibadan to celebrate First Lady Oluremi Tinubu’s 64th birthday and actor Lere Paimo’s 85th during the 12th Yoruba Youth Leadership Summit.

The summit featured speakers who condemned recent calls for military takeover and secession, reaffirming their commitment to Nigeria’s unity. They advocated for a parliamentary or regional system of government, arguing that such structures are more cost-effective and foster healthy regional competition for economic and political relevance.

In addition to the discussions, the event included cultural entertainment from the Itsekiri Troupe from Delta State. Attendees recognized outstanding individuals with Odu’a Award Plaques for their contributions to various fields.

Notably, 10-year-old Morenikeji Joshua, Nigeria’s youngest virtual artist, presented a framed portrait of Paimo, affectionately known as Eda Onile-Ola, in honor of his remarkable career and milestone birthday.
