Aisha Buhari Trains 1000 Women and Youth

The wife of the President Hajiya Aisha Mohammadu Buhari the founder of Future Assured Programme has began a week-long skills acquisition training of 1000 women and youth in Bauchi state.
The Women and Youth will be trained on various skills such as Beautification, (face, body, Gele and tying) Baking, Tie and Dye, Insecticide Production, and Body Perfume and Car Air Freshener.
Bauchi state first lady, Hajiya A’isha Muhammad Abubakar disclosed this at the flagging off ceremony of the week-long skills acquisition training of the 1000 women and youth held at multi-purpose Indoor Sports Hall Bauchi.
Governor M A Abubakar who was represented by the Executive Chairman, Bauchi state Commission for Women and Youth Rehabilitation and Development (BACYWORD) Barrister Ahmed Umar Farouk Gwadabe said Aisha Buhari’s decision to target one thousand women and youth is a laudable development.
“Your commitment to better the lives of women and youth cannot be over emphasized, we all know that this categories of persons are the most productive the most agile and resourceful, when they are not fully attended to at their prime, the tendency is that some of them may fall victims of crimes in the society”, he said
According to him, “I am highly optimistic that the various skills to be taught are modern trades that would promote the economic fortunes of the target beneficiaries.”
Muhammad Abubakar said the present economic challenges behooves all to diversify through engaging in self reliant ventures than solely waiting to be employed by government.
Governor Abubakar stressed that his administration has reinvigorated and strengthened the institutional framework of Agencies like BACYWORD, Ministry of Welfare, Youth and Sports, Bauchi state Orphans and Vulnerable Children Agency (BASOVCA) and Ministry of women affairs and children development.
In his presentation, the Permanent Commissioner 1 BACYWORD, Dr Babayo Usman said the administration of Abubakar found the situation of women and youth in a wayward situation which prompted him to unveil its marshall plan to tackle the social vices and institute workable mechanism that will forestall youth restiveness that threatens the society.
Babayo urged the beneficiaries to be punctual and regular in their training centers and to cooperate with trainers.
Investigations by Nigerian Concord Newspaper reveal that the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council, Mr. Pius Akutah, has allegedly misappropriated public funds for a lavish lifestyle.
According to our findings, within months of assuming office, Akutah allegedly purchased a bulletproof SUV valued at approximately N850 million. In addition, he is reported to have acquired over twenty exotic SUVs for use as a convoy.
Akutah is also said to have acquired multiple high-value properties, including three in Abuja’s Maitama and Asokoro districts worth over N2 billion, and two in Lagos’ Banana Island valued at N1.8 billion. These acquisitions appear far beyond the scope of his official salary and allowances.
Further investigation suggests that Akutah may be using public funds to support political ambitions, including allegedly grooming militants across 23 local government areas in Benue State for a potential 2027 gubernatorial bid.
Staff of the Shippers Council reportedly claim that Akutah frequently accesses the council’s treasury without proper authorization. Some insiders have indicated that a petition will soon be filed with the EFCC, ICPC, and the Presidency to report his alleged misconduct.
