Benue State has recorded four deaths and 16 suspected cases of cholera, according to the State Epidemiologist, Dr. Henry Ijabo. Speaking to journalists on Thursday, Dr. Ijabo said that the suspected cases have emerged in three local government areas: Agatu, Otukpo, and Ado.
“All that we have are suspected cases. Out of the 16 suspected cases, four died. They exhibited symptoms consistent with cholera, but this has not been confirmed,” Dr. Ijabo explained. He noted that the four deaths occurred while investigations were still ongoing.
