Gov Abubakar distributes food items to Disabled Persons

Governor Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar of Bauchi State, last Money distributed over 3,200 bags of assorted food items to Disabled persons across the 20 Local Government Area (LGAs) in the state.
Former State Chairman of Traders and Artisan Association who is also a political associate of Governor Abubakar, Alhaji Salisu Garba Maisuga who distributed the assorted food items said it would go a long way in alleviating the suffering disabled persons in the state.
He said the items was meant to be distribute to blind persons, Lepers, Cripple, and deaf and dumb in the society with the view to alleviating their sufferings and discouraged street begging in the state.
According to him, the governor out of sympathy had made to help the disabled and needy people with food items.
The food items distributed includes; 1,000 bags of maize, 1,000 bags of Sorghum, rice 1,000 bags and sugar, 200 bags.
Receiving the items, the Sarkin Makafin Bauchi, Alhaji Abdullahi Jibrin said the items has already been shared accordingly and as you can see representatives of each group from the 20 LGAs in the state are here to collect for their people for onward distribution to persons concerned in their locality.
While ensuring that no beneficiary would be left out of the kind gesture of the state government, Jibrin commended Governor M A Abubakar for making it official to supply food items to all the Disabled persons in the state.
He reassured the Governor that the disabled persons will be more committed in their prayers towards supporting his administration to achieve it set objectives hoping that he will have a safe landing in 2019 .adding that the goodwill would automatically reduce street begging in the state and would bring respect, mutual understanding and since of belonging to disable persons across the 20 LGAS of the state there by making us feel above all disabled persons in the Country in terms of care and concern to our plight by the state government..
In view of the above therefore Sarkin Makafin Bauchi called on Northeast Governors and other Governors in the Country to continue with the established policies and programmes of Governor M A Abubakar towards alleviating the harsh condition that forced the disabled persons to the streets to beg.
Jibrin used this medium to appeal to all northern governors under the leadership of Sokoto state Governor Wamako to emulate the kind and responsive gesture of M A Abubakar of Bauchi, and to ensure that disabled persons in the region enjoys the privileges and care as their counterpart in Bauchi.

Pius Akutah’s Alleged Fraud at Nigerian Shippers Council Uncovered
Investigations by Nigerian Concord Newspaper reveal that the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council, Mr. Pius Akutah, has allegedly misappropriated public funds for a lavish lifestyle.
According to our findings, within months of assuming office, Akutah allegedly purchased a bulletproof SUV valued at approximately N850 million. In addition, he is reported to have acquired over twenty exotic SUVs for use as a convoy.
Akutah is also said to have acquired multiple high-value properties, including three in Abuja’s Maitama and Asokoro districts worth over N2 billion, and two in Lagos’ Banana Island valued at N1.8 billion. These acquisitions appear far beyond the scope of his official salary and allowances.
Further investigation suggests that Akutah may be using public funds to support political ambitions, including allegedly grooming militants across 23 local government areas in Benue State for a potential 2027 gubernatorial bid.
Staff of the Shippers Council reportedly claim that Akutah frequently accesses the council’s treasury without proper authorization. Some insiders have indicated that a petition will soon be filed with the EFCC, ICPC, and the Presidency to report his alleged misconduct.
