Gov Obaseki Asked To Resign For Abuse Of Office

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Chief Blessing Agbomhere, has asked the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki to resign if he can not protect the lives and businesses of the people in the state.
Chief Agbomhere was reacting to the outcry of Edo people and recently, Captain Hosa Okunbo, that Governor Obaseki has orchestrated attacks on him.
Agbomhere told journalists in Benin City that many political leaders and businessmen in Edo State alike have suffered in the hands of Governor Obaseki since 2016.
He stated that it was irresponsible of the Edo Governor to destroy businesses owned by Edo people when he swore to an oath to protect their lives and properties.
Agbomhere said, ” a list of those that have either been sent to prison, humiliated or have their property destroyed were countless in Edo State.”
According to him, “I find it betraying that Govenor Obaseki finds pleasure in destroying Edo people’s property and businesses at his pleasure. How can a man who swore to build Edo economy be the one destroying businesses and chasing out those that are bringing in various investments to the state.
“What is disheartening is that those suffering in the hands of Obaseki were people that helped him to power. Osakpamwan Eriyo and Shaba were put in prison for many months.
“Obaseki has betrayed all who helped him to power. He destroyed multi million naira hotel owned by Tony Kabaka. If he mearnt well for Edo people, and wanted to seize Kabaka’s 3Star Hotel to demostrate his allodial power as governor he would have seized the building and use it as isolation centre.
Agbomhere said, “I was attacked at the Benin Airport on the state government orders. Alhaji Suleiman Egele of Jattu was declared wanted by Obaseki’s government for 2years. Kola Edokpayi was arraigned and imprisoned on trump-up charges. Obaseki personally supervised attack on Senator Matthew Urhoghide, he stopped Dr. Pius Odubu from getting NDDC job, he wrote a petition against former State Chairman of Edo PDP and now PDP Vice Chairman, South South, Chief Dan Orbih and asked police to arraign him, and Chief Francis Inegbeneki went submarine to save himself from Obaseki’s capricious tendencies, amongst several others that were harrassed.
“Chief Joshua Ogene in Okpilla was arrested on trump up charges and many others declared wanted.
He went after his benefactor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and now it is Captain Hosa Okunbor, who is a well respected businessman in Nigeria who sponsored his election in 2016.
Obaseki’s threat to burn down Hosa’s farm that has employed hundreds of Edo people and feeding thousands of Nigerians and also the attempts to revoke the CofOs of Captain Hosa’s properties in Edo State are being done mala fide against the developmental interest of Edo people.
All these acts are been committed and are still being committed, a man that never contributed anything to the development of the state before he became governor.
“I am calling on Godwin Obaseki to immediately resign for the abuse of the Office of the Governor of Edo State and for betraying the Oath of Office of the Governor of the State to protect the lives and property of Edo people.
Obaseki is no longer fit to be Edo Governor, He concluded.

London Property Dispute Exposes Alleged Corruption, Forgery by Nigerian Politician and Lawyer

By Hassan Taiye
A recent judgment by the UK’s First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) has shed light on a complex web of alleged corruption and forgery involving a Nigerian politician and a senior lawyer. The case revolves around a disputed property in North London, valued at 79 Randall Avenue.
The property was purchased in 1993 under the name “Tali Shani,” which is allegedly an alias for late General Jeremiah Useni, a powerful member of the Abacha regime. Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN, claimed the property was gifted to him by “Mr. Tali Shani” in 2021 as payment for legal services. However, the tribunal dismissed this claim, describing it as “fabricated” and “fraudulent.”
The tribunal’s ruling highlights the alleged involvement of Ozekhome and his associates in fabricating documents, including a Nigerian passport, National Identification Number (NIN), and Tax Identification Number (TIN). The NIN was reportedly created remotely from Monaco using a non-compliant photograph and bypassing biometric requirements ¹.
The Human and Environmental Development Agenda (HEDA Resource Centre) has petitioned the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to investigate Ozekhome and others over alleged fraud, forgery, and unlawful attempt to acquire the London property. The ICPC has launched an investigation, and the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) has also taken notice of the case ²

BREAKING: Tinubu’s Minister, Uche Nnaji, Resigns Amid Certificate Forgery Scandal

By: Fabian Apechihin
The Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, has resigned from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s cabinet amid a growing controversy surrounding his academic credentials.
Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga confirmed Nnaji’s resignation in a statement issued late Tuesday.
Nnaji’s exit follows mounting allegations that his academic certificates were forged. Investigations revealed that the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), disowned the Bachelor of Science degree he claimed to possess, stating that he never completed his studies at the institution and was therefore not issued any certificate.
According to UNN Vice-Chancellor Prof. Simon U. Ortuanya, Nnaji was admitted in 1981 but failed to meet the requirements for graduation.
In a related development, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) reportedly disowned the certificate of national service presented by Nnaji, describing it as fake.
His resignation marks the latest in a series of controversies to hit the Tinubu administration over questions of integrity and accountability among public officials.
