Governor Abubakar A Transparent Leader – APC Stalwart

Published

By Sule Aliyu,  Bauchi

Stalwart of the All Progressives Congress  in Bauchi State Alhaji Armaya’u Yahaya has described governor M A Abubakar as blessing to all the good people of the state and beyond.

Yahaya gave the assertion  while speaking with National Trail in Bauchi, saying responsible person on a visit to Bauchi state can testify to the simple fact that within  two years of Abubakar’s administration in the state, the state has witnessed  tremendous changes in every  facet of its existence, adding that apart from the gigantic road construction, the administration has settled backlog of four Months workers salaries inherited from past PDP administration  against other states in the federation that allegedly diverted the facility.

According to him governor Abubakar’s  administration has equally reduced the hitherto increasing rate of crime as well as improved the socio-economic base of the people to an appreciable level obtained anywhere in the federation.

He said despite paucity of funds as a result of monthly allocations from federal, he was keeping his words on prompt payment of salaries and at the same time executing capital projects in all sectors of the economy.

Yahaya said governor M. A. Abubakar would never be distracted by the antics of detractors but has gone far in fulfilling promises made to the people.. “said his allegiance was to the millions of people of Bauchi State who voted for him with the belief that God would give him the mandate to deliver.”

“Of course, there are issues with some of our members at the National Assembly but Abubakar is not perturbed, he is always reaching out to them that is Dogara and co, so that they  can work together for our people and leave any other thing for posterity to judge”, he added.
Yes like I said, there are some individuals who thought that governor Abubakar will work according to their whims and caprices, but he showed them that he did not become the governor to serve individuals but to serve the state and its people. He stated it clearly during his campaign that he is entering into a covenant with the people of Bauchi State and that he will work for their welfare. So, that is why these individuals (Abuja politicians) are fighting him, because they thought he was going to dance to their tunes and do their biddings, which he refused to.

Governor Abubakar is executing his policies based on what the people of the state want, not what some few individuals or the national assembly members from the state will dictate. What they failed to understand is that Governor Abubakar is a very simple person who always accepts advice.

If they are sincere, they should draw his attention to his mistakes and offer advice, not making inciting statements against him. This is the main problem between Governor Abubakar and those people.

The governor has said it clearly that anybody whose agenda is to develop Bauchi State should help and cooperate with him to accomplish the objective. However, he said that if anybody wants to fight him because of his stance on working for the state, he is ready to challenge that person to the finish.

Gov. Abubakar is not rich but  he never aspired to be governor to amass wealth, God has been kind to him right from his youth and he only went into politics in order to positively made an impact on his people, nobody will derail him”  Yahaya said.

His Excellency  the governor of Bauchi state already  has the intention to transform Bauchi state to a mega city, if you are coming to the state capital you look at the entrances and exits of state they don’t be fit as if it is a state capital.”  in order to expand some of the roads leading to the State capital in order to create easy access especially those linking housing estates and institutions of higher learning, the administration embarked upon the, dualization and rehabilitation and construction of these roads and other selected roads in the State that will ease vehicular movement, boost agricultural, social and economic activities and reduce accidents.

According to him, presently, the construction of nearly 500 kilometers of road across the three senatorial districts of the state is ongoing; over 300 primary and junior secondary schools are being rehabilitated and work is ongoing at Gubi Dam to improve water supply in addition to hundreds of boreholes provided for the people.

London Property Dispute Exposes Alleged Corruption, Forgery by Nigerian Politician and Lawyer

By Hassan Taiye

A recent judgment by the UK’s First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) has shed light on a complex web of alleged corruption and forgery involving a Nigerian politician and a senior lawyer. The case revolves around a disputed property in North London, valued at 79 Randall Avenue.

The property was purchased in 1993 under the name “Tali Shani,” which is allegedly an alias for late General Jeremiah Useni, a powerful member of the Abacha regime. Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN, claimed the property was gifted to him by “Mr. Tali Shani” in 2021 as payment for legal services. However, the tribunal dismissed this claim, describing it as “fabricated” and “fraudulent.”

The tribunal’s ruling highlights the alleged involvement of Ozekhome and his associates in fabricating documents, including a Nigerian passport, National Identification Number (NIN), and Tax Identification Number (TIN). The NIN was reportedly created remotely from Monaco using a non-compliant photograph and bypassing biometric requirements ¹.

The Human and Environmental Development Agenda (HEDA Resource Centre) has petitioned the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to investigate Ozekhome and others over alleged fraud, forgery, and unlawful attempt to acquire the London property. The ICPC has launched an investigation, and the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) has also taken notice of the case ²

The Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, has resigned from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s cabinet amid a growing controversy surrounding his academic credentials.

Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga confirmed Nnaji’s resignation in a statement issued late Tuesday.

Nnaji’s exit follows mounting allegations that his academic certificates were forged. Investigations revealed that the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), disowned the Bachelor of Science degree he claimed to possess, stating that he never completed his studies at the institution and was therefore not issued any certificate.

According to UNN Vice-Chancellor Prof. Simon U. Ortuanya, Nnaji was admitted in 1981 but failed to meet the requirements for graduation.

In a related development, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) reportedly disowned the certificate of national service presented by Nnaji, describing it as fake.

His resignation marks the latest in a series of controversies to hit the Tinubu administration over questions of integrity and accountability among public officials.
