‘Hunger dey o’: Police Tear-Gas Protesters in Abuja, Thugs Threaten in Lagos on Day 2

On the second day of the #EndBadGovernance protests, clashes erupted between security agents and demonstrators in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory. In Lagos, thugs threatened to behead protesters and journalists while police looked on. In Port Harcourt, Rivers State, protesters gathered at the Federal Secretariat area.

Activist Zokira Ibeh told Vanguard at the Ojota protest site: “We assembled here as early as 7 a.m. The protest was peaceful until around 20 thugs arrived and escalated tensions.”
