UK-based author and content creator Toni Tone recently shared a funny mix-up at a UK hotel, where she was mistaken for Nigerian actress Toni Tones.
Toni Tone, who attended the London premiere of the Wicked movie starring Ariana Grande, took to Instagram to recount the incident. The hotel, excited to welcome her, had placed printed photos in her room, but they were of the wrong Toni. Instead of the author, the pictures were of Toni Tones, the Nollywood actress who shares the same name.
Despite the mix-up, Toni Tone wasn’t upset. She found the gesture endearing and said, “I thought this was a cute touch until I realized it wasn’t me. They printed photos of the wrong Toni. This is a Nollywood actress called Toni Tones with an S. It’s the thought that counts, I guess.”
Fans quickly reacted, with many sharing their confusion between the two Tonis. Comments like “And both of you look alike” and “Wait, so they’re different?” flooded in, showing that many had similarly mixed up the two.
In another recent post, Toni Tone also shared advice for men, encouraging them to be clear about what they want in a partner, especially when it comes to balancing career ambitions and homemaking. She emphasized that it’s important for men to seek out women who align with their preferences rather than trying to change someone to fit an ideal.
Toni also spoke out about the dangers of posting nude photos online, warning women that while it may attract followers, it could also negatively impact their brand image. She encouraged women to focus on quality over quantity when building their social media presence.
