Kaduna Commissioner of Police Boosts Confidence on Kaduna-Abuja Expressway

By Milcah Tanniu

Commissioner of Police for Kaduna State, Audu Ali, has urged personnel deployed along the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway to uphold professionalism in their duties. The directive follows the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun’s concern about the security situation on the expressway. Ali conducted a confidence-building and security assessment tour of the highway, accompanied by senior police officers. The tour included visits to security duty posts at crucial locations like Kurmin Kare, Gidan Busa, and Akilbu. Ali commended the dedication and resilience of security personnel and urged them to remain vigilant, civil, and avoid misconduct. He emphasized the need for officers to be alert and committed to duty, announcing plans for unscheduled routine supervisory patrols. Ali also engaged with local communities, seeking their cooperation in providing credible information on criminal activities. The tour concluded with the deployment of additional personnel to areas with insufficient coverage to enhance existing security measures.
