KDSG Reiterate Commitment To Promote Private Investment For Economic Growth

Kaduna State Government says it will continue to promote private investments for economic growth, job creation, poverty reduction and better social services for its citizens.

This was disclosed by His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, Governor of Kaduna State, at the commissioning of a Neighborhood Center at Sabon Gari, Zaria.

The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Her Excellency, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, further stated that the desire to finance infrastructure and social services can better be supported by the private sector.

He further said that Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) also offer the possibility of improved accountability of resources deployed for projects, improved quality of projects, improved service efficiency, and transfer investment risk away from government.

In his remarks at the occasion, the Emir of Zazzau, Dr. Nuhu Bamali appreciated the government of Kaduna State for the PPP initiative and described it as very durable.

He called on government not to relent in its measures to provide jobs and other amenities for its citizens.

Also speaking, the General Manager of Kaduna Agricultural Development Agency, Mal. Muhammad Rili, said that the Neighborhood Center will generate about 200 direct and indirect jobs for citizens, especially those from Sabon Gari Local Government Area.
