AC Milan have appointed Paulo Fonseca as their new manager for the 2024-2025 season. The former Lille boss steps in for Stefano Pioli, who was dismissed following Milan’s 4th place finish in the Serie A last season. Fonseca has committed to a three-year contract, keeping him at the club until June 30, 2027.

Fonseca, 51, joins Milan after leading Lille to a 4th place finish in Ligue 1. His coaching career has also seen him at the helm of Roma, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Porto.

In other transfer news, West Ham United have secured the services of Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme for £25.5 million. The 18-year-old will transfer from Palmeiras when the summer transfer window opens on June 14, pending international clearance and a work permit.

Guilherme shared his enthusiasm for the move, saying, “I’m very happy to be signing with West Ham United, a club that trusted in my work. The Premier League is the best in the world. I believe I’ll improve a lot here with the entire staff at West Ham, which is crucial for my development.”
