Senator Wamakko Predicts Worse Performance For Opposition Parties in 2019
By Najem Francis, Sokoto
Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, representing Sokoto North Senatorial District has said that the opposition parties will do worse win in 2019.
The Senator spoke at his Gawon Nama residence in Sokoto when he received the winner of the APC’s primary election for the forthcoming bye election for the Kware/Wamakko Federal Constituency, Albino Ahmed Kalambaina, and state party leaders.
According to Wamakko: ” In 2019, in sha Allahu, the opposition parties will score only few votes, even if there will be any opposition party left by then.”
”Sokoto State will produce more votes in 2019 than it did in 2015, because in 2015, some opposition parties made a little impact, but none would remain by 2019, God willing.
” We will produce more than the one million votes we produced in 2019, as the state remains a stronghold of the APC”, he said.
Senator Wamakko who is also the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Basic and Secondary Education restated that the people of Sokoto state and Nigerians still reposed tremendous confidence in the APC as well as its elected and appointed officials.
”Leaders at all levels should be dedicated to the service of the people and not being selfish and APC is doing just this, at all levels in the country.
”The people of the state and Nigerians in general will not in any way regret giving their mandates to the party, ”the Lawmaker, added.
He commended Gov. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal for exhibiting high sense of selflessness during the primary election.
According to him, the party in the state was still intact, while assuring that both he and the governor would remain inseparable to the shame of detractors.
He congratulated the APC flag bearer, Kalambaina for his victory at the primary and charged him and other members of the party to buckle up for the bye election scheduled for the 28th of this month.
‘We should not in any way be complacent as the arduous work has just begun. We should go out and meet the people, seek for forgiveness, seek their votes, as well renew our commitment to serve them better, at all levels
”Sokoto state will continue to remain a strong pillar and home for APC, while it will remain a bastion of peace, unity, tolerance and even socioeconomic development,” Senator Wamakko, further, vowed

Pius Akutah’s Alleged Fraud at Nigerian Shippers Council Uncovered
Investigations by Nigerian Concord Newspaper reveal that the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council, Mr. Pius Akutah, has allegedly misappropriated public funds for a lavish lifestyle.
According to our findings, within months of assuming office, Akutah allegedly purchased a bulletproof SUV valued at approximately N850 million. In addition, he is reported to have acquired over twenty exotic SUVs for use as a convoy.
Akutah is also said to have acquired multiple high-value properties, including three in Abuja’s Maitama and Asokoro districts worth over N2 billion, and two in Lagos’ Banana Island valued at N1.8 billion. These acquisitions appear far beyond the scope of his official salary and allowances.
Further investigation suggests that Akutah may be using public funds to support political ambitions, including allegedly grooming militants across 23 local government areas in Benue State for a potential 2027 gubernatorial bid.
Staff of the Shippers Council reportedly claim that Akutah frequently accesses the council’s treasury without proper authorization. Some insiders have indicated that a petition will soon be filed with the EFCC, ICPC, and the Presidency to report his alleged misconduct.
