In a reaffirmation of its commitment to addressing the root causes of banditry and security challenges, the Sokoto State Government, led by Governor Col. Ahmed Usman (retired), emphasizes a dedicated approach. Col. Usman, the Special Adviser on Security Matters, underscores the government’s determination to confront security issues and implement empowerment programs for youths and women. Notable efforts include enhancing the functionality of local government areas and providing crucial support to security agencies. The recent provision of 70 new patrol vehicles to bolster attack and surveillance capabilities stands as a testament to the government’s unwavering commitment to addressing security challenges within Sokoto State.
