University Don, Oniye, Hails Ilorin Emir For Promoting Peace, Unity

The Ilorin- born Dean, School of Education, University of Kigali, Rwanda, Prof. Abdulrazaq Olayinka Oniye has hailed the Emir of Ilorin, Alh Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari for promoting peace and unity among his subjects.

Oniye who was reacting to the conferment of chieftancy titles on some sons of Ilorin by the Emir, said that the monarch’s choice of recipients across the diverse walks of life will further engender unity among the people of Ilorin Emirate.

“I wish to felicitate with our father, the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari on the peaceful conduct of the Eid-ul-Adha 1442. May He and we his subjects witness many more prosperous years in our life under his development and unity-inclined reign.

” I wish to use this medium to rejoice with selected Ilorin sons across diverse walks of life who were recently found worthy by our father, the Emir of Ilorin to be bestowed with important traditional or chieftancy titles of the Ilorin Emirate. I felicitate with them and their families and join them to appreciate our father on their choices,” Oniye stated.

While noting that the appointment is meant to acknowledge the recipients age-long contributions to the socioeconomic and religious development of the Ilorin Emirate, Oniye added that the appointment is also intended to motivate other well meaning sons and daughters of the community to keep working publicly and secretly towards the wellbeing of the Emirate, Kwara State, Nigeria and humanity at large

He charged the appointees not to relent in their services to God, the Emirate and humanity, reminding them that their appointment is a call for more dedicated service to their community and indeed humanity.

Pius Akutah’s Alleged Fraud at Nigerian Shippers Council Uncovered

Investigations by Nigerian Concord Newspaper reveal that the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council, Mr. Pius Akutah, has allegedly misappropriated public funds for a lavish lifestyle.

According to our findings, within months of assuming office, Akutah allegedly purchased a bulletproof SUV valued at approximately N850 million. In addition, he is reported to have acquired over twenty exotic SUVs for use as a convoy.

Akutah is also said to have acquired multiple high-value properties, including three in Abuja’s Maitama and Asokoro districts worth over N2 billion, and two in Lagos’ Banana Island valued at N1.8 billion. These acquisitions appear far beyond the scope of his official salary and allowances.

Further investigation suggests that Akutah may be using public funds to support political ambitions, including allegedly grooming militants across 23 local government areas in Benue State for a potential 2027 gubernatorial bid.

Staff of the Shippers Council reportedly claim that Akutah frequently accesses the council’s treasury without proper authorization. Some insiders have indicated that a petition will soon be filed with the EFCC, ICPC, and the Presidency to report his alleged misconduct.
