Youths in Isolo Should Embrace Reforms, Says APC Leader

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Leader in Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Rilwan Onikoyi, has urged youths in the community to embrace various reforms in their daily lives to foster personal growth and community development.

Speaking during the International Youth Day celebration, Onikoyi expressed concern over the recent disengagement of some Isolo youths from productive activities. He emphasized the need for the youth to strive for excellence and surpass their peers in other local governments.

“We aim to regenerate and challenge our youths to excel, surpassing their counterparts in other local governments. In recent times, the youths of Isolo are nowhere to be found amidst the educationists and engaged in things not profitable. We want to make them challenge other youths in other local governments across the world,” Onikoyi stated.

Onikoyi highlighted the importance of the event’s theme, “Digital Pathway and Mental Health for a Sustainable Future,” which was specifically chosen to enlighten the youth on the dangers of drug abuse and the significance of mental health.

“We deliberately crafted out mental health to sensitize our youths on drug abuse, which could mar their future. After this enlightenment, we are still going to do a sensitization rally to reorient them,” he added.

Additionally, the Chairman of the APC in Isolo LCDA, Mr. Gani Bello, advised the youths to choose good friends and avoid drug abuse.

“My advice to the youth is to stay away from drugs and learn how to grow gradually. Everything you want to achieve, you can achieve. Drugs destroy lives and make them unuseful to their parents and society,” Bello explained.
