2023: Kwara North monarchs drum support for AbdulRazaq, other APC candidates

Traditional rulers in Kwara North Senatorial District have reiterated their commitment to the second term bid of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

They assured the governor of their support and that of their subjects during the 2023 general elections, saying that they would vote for the AbdulRazaq and all the other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels.

Frontline monarchs, the Etsu Patigi, Alhaji Ibrahim Bologi II and the Emir of Okuta, Dr Abubakar Sero who gave the assurance spoke at different fora in Patigi and Okuta respectively.

Speaking during the flag off of the N212m erosion control projects in Patigi, Etsu Bologi said Governor AbdulRazaq has spread unprecedented development to Patigi kingdom and the entire Kwara North Senatorial District in the last three years.

“I want to on behalf of my subjects in Patigi and its environs assure our kindhearted Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of our support for his re- election in 2023. We shall also vote for all the candidates of his party, including incumbent Senator Umar Sadiq who is here with us at this gathering.

“The governor has given the entire Kwara North Senatorial District a sense of belonging. He has spread unprecedented developments to our area. Our son, Senator Umar Sadiq has also performed excellently well. For this reason, we shall cast out votes for the governor and all other candidates of his party during the 2023 general elections,” .

The Etsu Bologi’s declaration of support for Governor AbdulRazaq was greeted with thunderous ovation from the the people, especially the youths who were present at the event.

Also speaking during a special prayer that was organised for Governor AbdulRazaq in Okuta, the Emir of Okuta, Dr Abubakar Shero thanked the governor for what he described as serious developments within the Baruten local government in the last three years.

He prayed God to grant AbdulRazaq a second term of office so that the hitherto neglected Kwara North Senatorial District can be further developed.

“I want to appreciate Governor AbdulRazaq for the serious developments we are witnessing in our local government (Baruten) during the current dispensation and we pray for his success in the forthcoming election so that more developments can be spread to our area,” the monarch added.

The convener of the prayer, Mallam Ishak Tamu said the event was in appreciation of all the interventions of Governor AbdulRazaq’s administration across Baruten local government.

In his remarks, the representative of Mutawali of Ilorin Dr. Alimi AbdulRazaq, Alhaji Abdullahi Jubril thanked the people of Baruten local government area for appreciating the good works of the governor and for their support for his administration.
