The House of Representatives’ candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia, has predicted victory for his party in the 2023 governorship election in Kwara State with the choice of Alhaji Shuaib Yaman Abdullahi and Hon. Peter Gbenga Makanjuola as governorship candidate and running mate respectively.
Ajia described the combination of the two eminent politicians as a magic wand to coast the PDP to success in the next poll in the state.
He said this in a statement issued on Sunday from Prague, Czech Republic where he’s attending Defence and security submit organised by Defcon s.r.o.
The House of Representatives’ candidate assured that the candidates on the platform of the PDP in the forthcoming polls would work together to support and deliver the mandate of both the gubernatorial flag-bearer and his running mate.
While reminding party faithful that the task ahead was to deliver Kwara and Nigeria to PDP, Ajia felicitated the duo of Abdullahi and Makanjuola for scaling the hurdles to bear the flag.
The House of Representatives candidate, who is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mohammed Ajia Ibrahim (MAI) Foundation, however noted that in keeping faith with its projection for victory, the campaign of the PDP in the state would be premised on issues, facts and promises that would steer Kwara out of poverty.
“I’m using this medium to congratulate the PDP governorship flag-bearer in Kwara State, Alhaji Shuaib Yaman Abdullahi, over a successful nomination of his running mate, Hon. Peter Gbenga Makanjuola.
“For me, the combination of these two gentlemen is a symbol of success to come for PDP in 2023. The two gentlemen are persons of integrity, honesty and sincerity. And I can assure you that their combination will lead us to victory in the general elections.
“Also, I want to extend my greetings to all the senatorial candidates, all our candidates for House of Representatives and State House of Assembly.
“I wish you all success as we strive to prepare for campaign of our great party. We will continue to base our campaign on issues, facts and promises that would lead our State out of poverty.
“As we work hard, I also want to remind all of us that the task ahead of us in 2023 is to ensure that we deliver Nigeria to PDP at the centre, Kwara State to PDP and all our elective positions. I wish you all well. Congratulations to Hon. Peter Gbenga Makanjuola”, Ajia said.
