Tell Tinubu Nigerians are hungry, Emir of Kano sends First Lady

As the Economic hardship bites harder, The Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, sent Nigerian first lady, Oluremi to tell president Bola Tinubu that citizens of the country are hungry.
Mrs. Tinubu visited Kano to attend the opening ceremony of a Faculty of Law building at Maryam Abacha American University, which was named after her.
The Emir said, “Although we have several means of communicating with the government on our needs and requests, your way and means are the surest way that you would tell the President the actual happenings in the country.
“The hunger and starvation didn’t start with this government; the situation has become more alarming and needs urgent attention.”
In the same vein, Aminu Ado Bayero explained that “the issue of insecurity is another serious problem we are facing. I know your government inherited it, but something more serious should be done to take care of the threats.
“We are receiving a series of messages from our people. One such message is the many talks about the relocation of CBN and FAAN to Lagos.
“I think the government should come out clean on this matter and talk to Nigerians in the languages they would understand.
“Do more enlightenment on this matter. I, for one, cannot tell the actual intentions of the government; we should be made to actually understand why the relocation of the CBN and FAAN offices is now to Lagos.”
Investigations by Nigerian Concord Newspaper reveal that the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council, Mr. Pius Akutah, has allegedly misappropriated public funds for a lavish lifestyle.
According to our findings, within months of assuming office, Akutah allegedly purchased a bulletproof SUV valued at approximately N850 million. In addition, he is reported to have acquired over twenty exotic SUVs for use as a convoy.
Akutah is also said to have acquired multiple high-value properties, including three in Abuja’s Maitama and Asokoro districts worth over N2 billion, and two in Lagos’ Banana Island valued at N1.8 billion. These acquisitions appear far beyond the scope of his official salary and allowances.
Further investigation suggests that Akutah may be using public funds to support political ambitions, including allegedly grooming militants across 23 local government areas in Benue State for a potential 2027 gubernatorial bid.
Staff of the Shippers Council reportedly claim that Akutah frequently accesses the council’s treasury without proper authorization. Some insiders have indicated that a petition will soon be filed with the EFCC, ICPC, and the Presidency to report his alleged misconduct.
