New Board Member to contest Bauchi governorship seat in 2019

The newly appointed board chairman of Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Ibrahim Lame has disclosed his intention to re contest for Bauchi governorship ticket in 2019.
He made the intention known while addressing his supporters who came to facilitate with him at his residence in Bauchi over his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari as the board Chairman of the agency
Lame, a former minister of police affairs, lost to Governor Mohammed Abubakar in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries in 2015.
He said that he wanted to seek for the Bauchi governorship seat in order to repair the destruction suffered by the state in the hands of the current administration.
‎According to him, they worked with other well-meaning politicians, other personalities, their supporters and other groups and dislodge the then ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015.
“This lack of change has not changed our resolve and so we must renew our desire for coming together in the first place to repair the destruction of our state.
We know what the problem is and we know the steps we must take to address it.
“We cannot be silent without having a concrete plan for repair. Most of my supporters have gone to radio stations and you have cone today calling on me to run, I want to let you know that that the desire to run and fix the problem of Bauchi State is even stronger than 2015,”he said.
He assured his supporters that they have gone far in preparations for 2019 and are mobilising like minds to confront their political opponents in the election adding that they are getting more people every day.
“Even those you don’t think are with us are with us in this journey and we must adopt the right path in our quest.
We will continue to thank those who have been going to radio stations like Honourable Ahmed Yerima, who has been outstanding, fighting for the truth and the state,” he added.
