Bode George Advocates Grace Period for Tinubu, Citing Lack of Presidential Experience

Former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George, has urged Nigerians to give President Bola Tinubu a grace period due to his lack of prior experience in the presidency.

George emphasized that Tinubu’s first year in office might not have yielded significant results because he needed time to understand the failures of past administrations and formulate effective policies.

Speaking in an interview with AriseTV, George acknowledged that Tinubu’s transition from being part of the ruling party to leading the country presented a significant challenge. He noted that even former President Olusegun Obasanjo faced a learning curve in his first year in office.

“I have given him that one year of grace because now he has seen it and lived there,” George stated. “I expect his ministers to have

come back in one year with those areas of lapses. Even when Baba (Olusegun Obasanjo became president in 1999, he was still trying to figure out what happened there or vice versa in his first year. Let’s give him more time.”
