“Active Voice Subscribers in Nigeria Reach 221.7 Million in Q3 2023 – NBS”

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported a total of 221,769,883 active voice subscribers in Nigeria during the third quarter of 2023. This marks a 4.51% increase compared to the 212,201,578 reported in the same period of 2022. The NBS Telecoms Data also revealed a quarter-on-quarter increase of 0.76% in active voice subscribers from the second quarter of 2023. Additionally, there were 160,171,125 active internet subscribers in Q3 2023, indicating a 4.83% year-on-year growth. Lagos State had the highest number of active voice and internet subscribers during the period, with 27,043,333 and 19,188,745, respectively. MTN dominated the market with the highest share of subscriptions in Q3 2023.
