Adeleke welcomes Women’s World Cup sensations Ajibade and Imuran.

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, celebrated Super Falcons players Rasheedat Ajibade and Rofiat Imuran in his hometown, Ede, following their participation in the FIFA Women’s World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand. Nigeria’s journey in the tournament concluded with a 4-2 penalty loss to England in the round of 16.

Upon their return to Nigeria, a video of Governor Adeleke jubilantly dancing with Ajibade and Imuran, both natives of Osun State, circulated widely. Adeleke then took to Twitter to express his pride, praising the players for their performance. He emphasized his administration’s dedication to the upliftment of the girl-child and the promotion of sports in Osun State.

While Ajibade showcased her skills by assisting in two goals against Australia and scoring a penalty against England, Imuran did not get a chance to play in any of the matches.
