Adenike Kuti Appointed Independent Non-Executive Director at Abbey Mortgage Bank

Abbey Mortgage Bank, a prominent mortgage lender in Nigeria, has announced the appointment of Adenike Kuti as an independent non-executive director to its board, effective immediately.

Adenike Kuti is a chartered accountant and corporate finance professional with expertise in business development, mergers & acquisitions, and investment banking. She holds a first-degree in accounting from the University of Lagos, a master’s degree in Finance and Investment with First Class Honors from Nottingham University Business School, and an MBA from the University of Oxford.

Kuti has an extensive professional background, having worked for Leapfrog Investments Limited, Africa Finance Corporation, KPMG, and Vetiva Capital Limited. In her role as Associate Director at Leapfrog Investments, she was responsible for structuring, executing, and managing the investment portfolio of $350 million in Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria.

The appointment of Adenike Kuti as an independent non-executive director is seen as a move to enhance diversity and inclusion in the board structure of Abbey Mortgage Bank. Mobolaji Adewumi, the Managing Director of Abbey Mortgage Bank, expressed enthusiasm about the appointment, stating that Kuti’s wealth of experience in financial management, strategic leadership, and corporate finance will undoubtedly contribute to the continued success of the bank.
