Governors of Jigawa Alhaji Abubakar Badaru and Kebbi State Alhaji Atiku Bagudu on Sunday paid a solidarity visit to their Borno State counterpart, Professor Babagana Zulum over last weeks attack on his convoy by suspected Boko Haram insurgents.
The two Governors who were in Maiduguri on behalf of other Governors of the APC praised the forthrightness and gallantry of Professor Zulum, for remaining unshaken in the face of threats to his own person.
Describing him as a shinning example of leadership, they also praised him for his show of commitment to ending the insecurity problem in Borno and for placing the wellbeing of his citizens first.
Our correspondent reports that the two visiting Governors who pledged their support to Governor Zulum in his efforts at ending the sufferings of his citizens and bringing an end to the insecurity across Nigeria, have since left Maiduguri, with a promise to monitor further developments.
According to Governor Atiku Bagudu, who spoke on behalf of the duo, the entire body of Progressives are solidly behind Governor Zulum and they will do everything possible to ensure he succeeds.
He said they were in Maiduguri to empathize with the Governor and the good people of Borno state, promising to always show solidarity to any of their colleagues who finds himself in such difficult and challenging situation.
