APC Victory Is For True Lovers Of Democracy: Waziri Yakubu Gobir

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara state who is also the Wazirin Hausa , Alhaji Yakubu Gobir has described the outcome of last Saturday’s election in the state and across the country as a victory not only for the party but also for all true lovers of democracy in the state and the entire nation.

According to him, the election has been deservedly won as the electorate have chosen right candidates.

Waziri Gobir who expressed these views in a statement he personally signed while reacting to the victory of the party, described the outcome of the election as well deserved.

While thanking his supporters and APC faithful, Waziri Gobir added that the party’s victory was a confirmation that the people of Kwara State and Nigerians at large still have confidence in the programmes and policies of the APC.

He congratulated the Senator- elect for kwara Central Senatorial District, Doctor Yahaya Oloriegbe who won with 123, 808 votes and the winner of the Ilorin East and South Federal House of Representatives seat, Alhaji Cook Olododo who also scored 56,496 votes on their well deserved victories.

He commended INEC, Security Agencies and all other major actors that ensured peace and orderliness at the polls for their objectivity and for allowing the people’s vote to count.

The APC chieftain, however, called on all political office holders to always have solid programmes that will benefit the people particularly the down trodden masses at all times which ordinarily ought to be part of the dividends of democracy.

With the victory of the APC, Alhaji Yakubu Gobir has again shown his commitment to the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari by delivering his polling unit PU001
*Presidential* with 228 votes for APC and 63 votes for PDP *Senatorial* APC 208 PDP 90
*House of Reps* APC 210 PDP 87.

Alhaji Gobir also delivered Gambari ward 1 & 2 culminating in a victory for APC in Ilorin East with a total of 31,039 votes as against the PDP’s 12,820.

The Waziri Hausa similarly won a landmark victory in Apado ward which is known to be one of the strongholds of the PDP where the party had never lost any election.
