BREAKING: Protesters Storm NASS Demands Saraki’s Suspension

Hundreds of people have taken almost taken over the National Assembly today(Tuesday) in protest against the planned suspension of Senator Kabiru Marafa from Zamfara over his alleged unguided statements,  and they are demanding that the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki resigns.
The Senate had last week Tuesday, following a submissions by Senators Haman Isa Misau (APC Bauchi Central) and Mathew Urhogide (PDP Edo South), mandated its Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petition, to investigate alleged Marafa’s despicable remarks against the Senate in the interview.
But when the committee sat yesterday(Monday) Marafa, failed to appear before it, but the committee insisted that it was going to submit its report to the senate today, as it was directed to do.
But the group, under the aegis of Open Society Coalition, besieged the National Assembly and demanded that Sarki, resigned from his position as Senate President, so can concentrate on his trial at the CCT.
The group displayed banners with various inscriptions at the entrance of the National Assembly, insisting that not Marafa, but Saraki that should be suspended.
