DELTA TO ESTABLISH HEALTH CENTRE IN ABOH-OGWASHI-UKU

The Technical Head of Community Driven Development Implementation Service Unit (CDDISU) of Delta Cares, Mrs Asanimo Orubu has said the Delta State Government in conjunction with World Bank has approved a health centre for Aboh-Ogwashi, Aniocha South Local Government Area.

 

Orubu disclosed this during a training program organized for project management committee members at Aboh- Ogwashi-Uku.

 

While congratulating the people of the area on benefitting from the project, she said that the project came as a result of devastating effects of COVID-19, saying that many states, including Delta, had benefited from the program.

 

She called on the community to ensure that the project would be well maintained on completion for effective performance and equally to justify the efforts of the state government and World Bank.

 

Orubu called on community to do away with all forms of distractions on the project to enable it be completed at the stipulated time, calling also on the people to monitor the project and report back to the state government.

 

Earlier in his address, the Okwabani of Aboh Ogwashi-Uku, Chief Chiedu Onwuadiamu, said that the community would continue to be grateful to the state government.

 

He said the various projects at Aboh-Ogwashi-Uku was a pointer that the state government had the interest of the area at heart.

 

Chief Onwuadiamu, who is also the Chairman of Project Management Committee (PMC) in the community, said that the project would be handled by the people of the area to ensure speedy completion in line with World Bank standards.
