As the Senate battles to wriggle its way out of the vacation allowance announced by The President of the Senate, Senator Gods will Akpabio, the appointment of Senator Bamidele Opeyemi, the Majority leader of the Senate into 15 other Committee is beginning to raise another dust .

Aside from being the Majority Leader of the Senate, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele has been awarded membership of 15 standing committees of the Nigerian Senate, including the powerful Appropriations Committee.
Bamidele, an ally of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Vice – Chairman – Constitutional Review, Vice – Chairman – Defense, Vice – Chairman – Rules and Business.
Some Senators who do not want to be named, asked “if not for corruption and expectations of kickbacks, why would he put one Senator in 15 committees?”

Recall that the Chief wip, senator Ali Ndume , over the weekend had in an interview with BBC Hausa service threatening to take drastic action against the president of the Senate, Akpabio for his utterances which has continue to generate public discourse.
Indeed apart from the ” let the poor breath ” Akpabio might have turned the hallow Chamber to a Soap opra said a Senator who pleaded anonymity .
