The Uhunmhode Local Government Area chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC has passed a vote of no confidence on its leader, Hon. Charles Idahosa and suspended him from the party. The chapter also appointed Prof. David Osifo, a former Commissioner for Health in the Governor Goodwin Obaseki led administration to replace Idahosa as the party leader in the area.

The vote of no confidence and subsequent removal of Hon. Idahosa came up on Sunday, 2 February at an enlarged meeting of Uhunmhode APC executives, leaders and stakeholders.

In a motion for his removal moved by Hon. Joe Imansuen, a former State Auditor of the party and supported by Hon. Roland Orobor of ward six, Idahosa was accused of appropriating the APC in Uhunmwode to himself and run the party as it was a part of his privately owned limited liability company.

“The All Progressives Congress (APC), Uhunmwode Local Government Area Chapter has witnessed unpredented leadership failure under Hon. Charles Idahosa which has resulted in the underdevelopment of the Local Government Area.
“Hon. Charles Idahosa has appropriated our great party to himself and therefore runs and conducts the affairs as his privately owned limited liability company where he is both the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer”

All efforts to reach Hon. Charles Idahosa proved abortive as all calls put to his phone were not answerd.
