Public Administrator, Erinsakin Seun Victor, has praised Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State for the successful accreditation of Higher National Diploma (HND) programs at the state-owned Polytechnic in Use, Edo State.
Erinsakin attributed this achievement to the governor’s transformative leadership, highlighting that it resulted in the widespread accreditation of both National Diploma (ND) and HND programs within the institution.
Expressing gratitude, Erinsakin stated, “I would like to commend the government of Edo State, under the leadership of His Excellency, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, Governor of Edo State, for his transformative leadership that has facilitated the accreditation of numerous National Diploma and Higher National Diploma programs at the Polytechnic.”
He emphasized the positive impact of the governor’s support on the academic experience of students at the Polytechnic. Notably, he mentioned that in the year 2023 alone, 15 programs have received accreditation, allowing students to be successfully mobilized for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
Erinsakin acknowledged Governor Obaseki’s broader vision, citing the “Edo Best” policy, championed by the Honourable Commissioner of Education, Dr. Joan Osa Oviawe. This policy, diligently implemented by the Polytechnic’s management, has not only led to program accreditations but also ensured the prompt mobilization of HND graduates for the compulsory NYSC program, contributing to their professional development.
Commending the Governor’s foresight, Erinsakin also praised the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with a prestigious Polytechnic in China. He highlighted that this collaboration would facilitate cross-cultural knowledge exchange, student exchange programs, and provide access to cutting-edge technology and expertise.
In addition to acknowledging Governor Obaseki, Erinsakin extended commendation to the management of the Polytechnic, led by Engr. Omoruyi Sylvester, for the remarkable progress and transformation observed in the state-owned institution.
