Fans couldn’t help but notice the uncanny resemblance between Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard and referee Clement Turpin during the half-time chat at Arsenal’s Champions League last-16 clash against FC Porto. Despite Trossard’s impressive performance, fans on social media were fixated on his doppelganger referee, Clement Turpin.

One fan pointed out the resemblance, saying, “Please tell me you guys can see it. Leandro Trossard and this referee look identical,” while another humorously commented, “How did Arteta manage to get Trossard’s long-lost brother to referee the game?”

The banter continued with another fan jokingly claiming, “The referee was playing left wing until we scored and Trossard was officiating. You cannot prove me wrong.”

With Trossard praised for his contribution this season, including his crucial goal in the Champions League tie, fans couldn’t resist making light of the unexpected resemblance between him and the referee.
