In a bid to fill up vacant positions created in the Civil Service, Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has approved the appointment of eight new permanent Secretaries
A Press statement from the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Nathaniel Ikyur explained that the appointees were in the directorate cadre in the service and have been recommended to fill the existing vacancies in the State Civil Service.
They include, Tighil T. Godwin from Gwer West,
Ochekpe Agbo Ode from Otukpo, Tsavmbu Beatrice from Ushongo
and Helen M. Nyikyaa also Gwer East.
Others are, Ali Sulaiman Efu from Agatu, Ameh Gabriel Adah from Okpokwu, Adole Omojo Joy, Apa and Sende Isaac Terkimbir from Katsina-Ala.
The release quoted a circular from the Head of Service, Mrs Veronica Onyeke, as stating that the newly appointed permanent secretaries will be sworn in by the Governor at a later date.
