In a thrilling UEFA Champions League clash, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid played out a 2-2 draw in their semi-final first leg match, with Harry Kane stealing the spotlight by breaking a record.
Kane, the prolific Bayern Munich striker, etched his name in the annals of Champions League history by scoring a crucial goal during the game. His goal, along with strikes from Leroy Sane and Vinicius, ensured both teams ended the match on level terms at the Allianz Arena.
Kane’s goal from the penalty spot showcased his composure, adding to his remarkable tally of 43 goals in 43 games across all competitions in his debut season for Bayern Munich.
Notably, Kane’s contribution against Real Madrid propelled him to break the record for the most goal involvements (11) by an English player in a single Champions League campaign. With eight goals and three assists to his name in this season’s competition, Kane surpassed the achievements of iconic figures such as Steven Gerrard and David Beckham.
Looking ahead, Kane will aim to lead Bayern Munich to victory in the return leg against Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid side next week.
