Ibagun Community Holds Prayer For Kwara Gov

The people of Okelele in Ibagun ward, Ilorin East local government area of Kwara State, have held a special prayer for the success of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration, lauding the Governor for implementing people oriented programmes and policies.

The prayer was the major highlight of a Ramadan Lecture organised by the Ibagun Progressive Union (IPU) held at the premises of Government Day Secondary School, Amule, Okelele area.

Ustaz AbdulBaki Odegbangba who led the prayer beseeched Allah to grant AbdulRazaq a successful tenure.

The cleric, who praised the governor for impacting positively on the lives of the people of the state through the execution of infrastructural projects and Implementation of people oriented policies, urged him not to rest on his oars.

He specifically praised the governor for appointing three illustrious sons of Okelele/ Ibagun community, Alhaji Sa’adu Salahu (Special Adviser, Strategy), Alhaji Muyideen Aliyu (Senior Special Assistant, (Security) and Abdulquawiy Olododo (Technical Assistant on Agriculture) into his administration .

He also acknowledged the infrastructural projects executed in the community by the AbdulRazaq’s administration.

In his sermon, Ustaz Mohammed Jamiu Ajijola Anabi, lamented the moral decadence among the youths, urging parents and guardians to inculcate moral values in their children to enable them become useful citizens.

The Chairman of IPU, Alhaji Kuranga Omomeji Morogun, said the lecture was organised to remind parents on the need for them to inculcate moral values in their children.

The event was graced by Special Advisers on Security, Political Communications and Religion, Gen. Tunde Bello, Bashiru Adigun and Isiaka Danmaigoro respectively.

Other dignitaries that graced the event included a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ambassador Yahaya Seriki, Dr Ghali Alaaya, member representing Ilorin East in the state House of Assembly, Hon. Ali Amuda Jimoh chairman, KWARMA chairman, Alh Bolakale Oloje,Alh Mashood Alaka and chairperson, Ilorin East local government area, Hajia Seriki.
