IGP Calls For Harmonisation of Security Agencies

The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris has called for more synergy and harmonisation between security agencies in the country in order to conquer the rising security challenges.

The IGP who spoke after a visit to the Niger state Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello said that it is very important for all the security apparatus in the country to work as a team and present a united front to discourage crime and criminal activities.

“There is need for more synergy between security agencies. We need to work as a team. We need the cooperation of every individual in the security apparatus in the nation”, he said.

The Inspector General of Police said that there is a lot of improvement in the area of security as the Nigeria Police has waged total war against criminals and kidnappers.

He said that he was on a private visit to the Governor where he met with Traditional Rulers to see how the security of the nation can be improved stressing on the need for everyone to support security agencies.

“I want everyone to ensure that we sustain the level of unity in the country. We need the cooperation of every individual in the country to support security agencies to ensure that we have total and sustained peace in this nation”, he added.
