IPOB: South East War Veterans Mock Nnamdi Kanu Over Curruption, Embezzlement of $2M..
Following the allegations of Curruption and the embezzlement of over $2M (two million US dollars) from IPOB by Nnamdi Kanu, the South Eastern Veterans Forum has thrown a jab at the promoter of Biafra and IPOB movement, calling him a desperate fugitive without conscience.
The group’s national coordinator, Col Emeka Anayo rtd in press statement on Sunday in Owerri, the Imo state capital said the Nigerian government has continued to be vindicated and insulated from many years of persistent blackmail orchestrated by the selfish and greedy tendencies of Nnamdi Kanu and his cohorts.
The group’s position was a reaction to ongoing crisis in the UK chapter of IPOB, which crisis were occasioned by the reckless embezzlement of the sum of two million US dollars (USD2M) by Nnamdi Kanu.
“Ordinarily, as patriots and citizens of Nigeria who have paid a supreme price to keep the country together, we have never taken the IPOB dream beyond the realm of hallucinations”
The group said it owed Nigerians a duty to expose the hypocrisy and selfishness that drives the IPOB and Biafra narrative.
“We fought for enduring unity of this country and it behooves on us as veterans to continue to seek a common front for peace, unity and prosperity to be achieved in this country”
The group noted that Nnamdi Kanu, the acclaimed leader of IPOB has held ignorant ibo people to ransom in order to promote his selfish and greedy financial as well political cravings which he couldn’t achieve through legitimate means.
“We are talking about a man who can best be described as a fugitive, he preaches courage and demonstrates corwadice at every turn”
This is a man who jumped bail and in the process tried to pitch the judiciary as well as the security agencies against the Ibo people.
” Minus the Proactiveness of security agencies and the wisdom of the Nigerian government authorities, Nnamdi kanu’s jumping of bail and consequent reactions would have generated a crisis”

“That was the idea, to cause disaffection along ethnic lines, but the Nigerian authorities couldn’t fall for all of that”
” We commend security agencies for their foresight to keep the country together amidst every provocation”
We commend Nigerians for being patient to witness the crumbling of kanu’s fraudulent empire , the group stated.
” We listened with great disappointment the demonstration of dictatorial tendencies by Nnamdi Kanu following the exposure of how Over( N900,000,000) of IPOB funds were embezzled by Kanu.”
“How do you purport to sack members of your association for seeking and demanding transparency?
Between the persons demanding for accountability and the person being held accountable, who deserves a break? the group queried.
“We urge Nigerians particularly the Ibos to no longer become preys in the hands of a hopeless and wounded fugitive.
The group further passed a vote of confidence on the security agencies and urged them to be focused as unfolding events in IPOB will broker more revelations that will enhance national unity.
Investigations by Nigerian Concord Newspaper reveal that the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council, Mr. Pius Akutah, has allegedly misappropriated public funds for a lavish lifestyle.
According to our findings, within months of assuming office, Akutah allegedly purchased a bulletproof SUV valued at approximately N850 million. In addition, he is reported to have acquired over twenty exotic SUVs for use as a convoy.
Akutah is also said to have acquired multiple high-value properties, including three in Abuja’s Maitama and Asokoro districts worth over N2 billion, and two in Lagos’ Banana Island valued at N1.8 billion. These acquisitions appear far beyond the scope of his official salary and allowances.
Further investigation suggests that Akutah may be using public funds to support political ambitions, including allegedly grooming militants across 23 local government areas in Benue State for a potential 2027 gubernatorial bid.
Staff of the Shippers Council reportedly claim that Akutah frequently accesses the council’s treasury without proper authorization. Some insiders have indicated that a petition will soon be filed with the EFCC, ICPC, and the Presidency to report his alleged misconduct.
