Reports indicate that Airstrikes by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai, has resulted in the killing of scores of ISWAP fighters, along with three of their Commanders in Marte Local Government Area of Borno State.
Intelligence sources disclosed that the airstrikes were carried out after the terrorists were trailed around a remote village at Arinna Woje on the evening of Sunday.
According to the sources, the fighter aircraft delivered a full package of aggressive bombardments leading to the obliteration of scores of the fighters.
The source further said that the bodies of the three commanders, which include Abacha, Bakura, an indigene of Jibularam, Babagangida as well as 22 other jihadist were later recovered and buried on Monday afternoon.
Prom8nent leaders if ISWAP were at the Funeral Prayer, with Amirul fiye, Abu Hamza, Khaid of Tumbumma, Abu Nazir, Abu Rijal, the Khaid of Koloram leading several other fighters to bury the dead.
