Members of the Elders Caucus of the Kwara State All Progressives Congress (APC) have congratulated Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on his recent Award as the ‘Governor of the Year’ (in Governance and Sustainable development) by the Blueprint Newspaper.

In a letter signed on behalf of the Group by its Chairman and Secretary, Barr. Kunle Suleiman and Hon. Abdulmumin Sidiq Katibi respectively, the Elders said they were not surprised by the well deserved recognition in view of the AbdulRazaq administration’s “appreciable and diligent contributions to the progress and development of Kwara State in the past three years, which have impacted meaningfully and positively on the lives of the people.”

They particularly lauded the Governor for his administration’s developmental strides in all the 193 Wards across the State, noting that “there is virtually no ward that the impacts of dividends of democracy had not been felt by the people, as against the past neglect they suffered from the previous administrations.”

While admonishing the Governor not to relent in his good works to the people as his administration approaches the end of its First Tenure of Office, the Members appealed to the people to show their appreciation by ensuring that the Governor, who has been returned unopposed by the APC to run for Second Term of Office, is voted for massively to win the gubernatorial election in 2023.

This, they stated, would ginger AbdulRazaq to do more and lift Kwara State and its people to a higher pedestal of deserved progress and development, which have been denied them for decades.

They prayed for God’s continued guidance and direction in all the efforts of the Governor to actualise his dreams for a better and more economically viable Kwara State.
