Kwara APC Holds Unity Rally For Tinubu’s Second Term Bid
- Lauds Gov AbdulRazaq’s leadership

Leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State have staged a unity rally in support of the second term bid of President Bola Tinubu and the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The mammoth crowd, comprising the party’s aspirants, leaders and members, gathered at the forecourt of the Palace of the Emir of Ilorin, from where they marched through the Oja- Oba market, Emir’s road, Post Office, Sulu- Gambari and Ahmadu Bello Way, and later converged on the frontage of the Government House (Ahmadu Bello House), Ilorin, where they addressed the people.
The speakers’ messages highlighted the unity, cohesiveness and the commitment of the aspirants, leaders and members to the overall success of the APC during the 2027 general elections in the State.
All the aspirants of the APC across board expressed their preparedness to support those that may eventually get the tickets to fly the banners of the party at the elections, saying that their major preoccupation is to ensure that APC continues to govern the state in 2027 and beyond.
They threw their full weight behind the second term bid of President Tinubu, even as they applauded and passed a vote of confidence in the leadership of Governor AbdulRazaq and Chairman of the Nigeria’s Governors Forum( NGF).
A grassroots politician and Coordinator of Kwara Central APC Elders Caucus, Alhaji Razaq Lawal, said: “Today, we gathered here to tell the world and entire Nigerians that, Kwarans are 100% in support of re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
“Kwara APC leaders and members are united. Wherever Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, as well as the party, directs us, we will follow. We believe in his leadership.”
A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Mukthar Shagaya said” :I commend the purposeful leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, whose people-centered governance and steady stewardship have continued to inspire confidence and deliver tangible progress across the state. His leadership has not only strengthened our party but has also deepened the trust between government and the people.
“I equally acknowledge the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,whose Renewed Hope Agenda continues to set a clear direction for national development and economic revitalisation. His bold reforms and commitment to repositioning Nigeria are resonating across states, including Kwara.
“The scale and spirit of today’s rally send an unmistakable message: come 2027, the APC is poised for a decisive and resounding victory across all levels in Kwara State. I urge our people to remain steadfast in their support.”
A House of Representatives aspirant for Ilorin South, Ilorin East constituency, Engr. Abdulquawiy Olododo reaffirmed his strong alignment with President Tinubu, commending the Renewed Hope Agenda as a bold and necessary roadmap for national progress, economic revival, and sustainable development.
Olododo praised Governor AbdulRazaq for giving the youths a voice in the governance of the State and for appointing him into various offices of responsibilities since 2019 because of the governor’s belief in the capability of the youths to deliver on mandates.
For her part, an aspirant for the Ilorin East/ Ilorin South House of Representatives seat, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo- Kawu, said the massive turnout was a deliberate show of strength by party loyalists.
“We came out in large numbers to ensure massive support for the APC in the coming elections and to strengthen the party’s chances of victory at all levels,” she said.
A governorship aspirant, Amb. AbdulFatai Yahaya Seriki urged members and supporters to remain steadfast in their commitment to the party , calling for continued support for President Tinubu and Governor AbdulRazaq.
He emphasised the importance of unity, discipline, and loyalty within the party structure, encouraging members to fully support whoever the party nominates or presents as its candidates in future elections, stressing that collective strength remains key to sustained political success.

National Trail Mourns Pioneer Editor, Abdulazeez Suleiman

The Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of , Hon. Inuwa Bwala, on behalf of the management and staff, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of veteran journalist and pioneer editor of the newspaper, Abdulazeez Suleiman.
Bwala also extended condolences to Suleiman’s family, associates and the Nigerian media industry, describing his passing as a monumental loss at a time his experience, courage and service to the nation were still greatly needed.
Suleiman reportedly died shortly before a scheduled surgery.
A pioneer editor of National Trail Newspaper, Abdulazeez Suleiman was regarded as a thoroughbred journalist with a remarkable talent for breaking exclusive stories and shaping public discourse through responsible journalism.
