Kwara CP decorates newly promoted senior officers

The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, CP Tuesday Assayomo, has decorated newly promoted Officers of the Command.

While congratulating the newly promoted senior officers on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, the CP admonished them to be conscious of the responsibilities attached to the new ranks, adding that “the reward for hard work is more hard work.”

He reiterated the IGP’s commitment to the welfare of officers and men of the Force as exemplified by the recent mass promotion of officers across all the cadres.

Responding on behalf of the promoted officers, DCP Wilson Aniefiok Akpan appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari, the Police Service Commission and the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba for considering them worthy of the new ranks. He also thanked the Kwara State Commissioner of Police, CP Tuesday Assayomo, for “providing an exemplary leadership through constant admonition and monitoring the activities of officers and men which have always propelled officers and men of the Command to put all their best in discharging their duties,” promising that they would work harder to justify the confidence reposed in them.

Asps Toun Ejire, Agbelemose Deborah Nifemi, Waziri Fanem Smith and 17 other Asps were promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), while Asp Kehinde Omotosho and 16 others were also promoted from Asp11 to Asp 1, among others.
