Kwara Gov, Customs Controller felicitate Emir of Ilorin at 81

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has congratulated the Emir of Ilorin, who is also the Chairman of the the state Council of Chiefs, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, as he clocked 81 years, describing his reign as transformative and hugely beneficial to the emirate and the state as a whole.

The Governor, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, said: “I join the whole of the emirate and the people of Kwara State as a whole to thank the Almighty Allah for His enduring mercies on His Royal Highness over the years, including giving him the good health and wisdom to excellently discharge his royal duties.

“On behalf of the people and government of Kwara State, I commend the Emir of Ilorin for his commitment to peace, his love for his subjects and deliberate efforts to strategically position them for greater heights, and his constant pursuit of socioeconomic and political growth and development for the state over the years. I pray the Almighty Allah to grant His Royal Highness more rewarding years ahead in good health.”

Also felicitating with the Emir, the Customs Area Controller,
Comptroller H. B. Ahmed, described the Emir as “a true definition of an ambassador of peace and a
bridge builder, as we have in you, an Emir like no any other.

“The pillar of a progressive land. Call him a teacher he deserves more, call him a king history has confirmed, call him king of all the kings you may not be wrong.

“Today, we celebrate the life Allah
has given you. Our prayer at this moment is that Allah (SWT) should grant His
Royal Highness good health and wisdom to continue to provide us with purposeful leadership for many years to come.”
