Joseph Ayoba, the father of the late musician Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Ayoba, popularly known as Mohbad, disclosed a distressing dream he had just two days before his son’s untimely death.
Mohbad, known for his hit “Ko Por Ke,” passed away on Tuesday and was mourned by many during his burial in Ikorodu on Wednesday.
In a conversation with blogger @og_baba1, Mr. Ayoba reminisced about the close bond he shared with his son, likening their relationship to that of close friends rather than just parent and child. He recalled their last meeting, which was the previous Saturday when they shared a meal, and his son, as usual, gifted him some money before he left.
Touching upon the ominous dream he had, Mr. Ayoba said, “I dreamt that someone tried shooting at me. I believed I had dodged the bullet in the dream, never realizing something so tragic would befall my family soon.”
Regarding the circumstances of Mohbad’s death, he mentioned, “From what I gathered, some speculate that an auxiliary nurse gave him an injection which may have had adverse effects.”
Since Mohbad’s passing, an outpouring of condolences and tributes from colleagues and fans alike have dominated social media.
