Nasarawa Speaker is a blessing to our land, we are returning him to the state assembly for 3rd term, says Ohimege Opanda, Umaisha stakeholders

As a build up to Saturday’s Governorship and State Assembly elections, the First Class Traditional Ruler of Umaisha, the Ohimege Opanda, HRH Alh.Usman Abdullahi and some critical stakeholders have thrown their weights behind the candidature of the Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly Alh Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi and their position on the choice of credible leader for their people.

The Speaker, Balarabe Abdullahi who is representing Umaisha /Ugya State Constituency is seeking election for the third term to represent his people.

During his last two outings, the lawmaker has gotten his primary elections on opposed and has won his main elections with landslide victory the development analysts attributed to his quality representation and good leadership.

As the election gets closer by the day, critical stakeholders of the area have been speaking on their choice of quality leader and at the moment they said there is know match to the Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi considering the developments he has attracted to his people.

The first class traditional ruler of the area the Ohimege Opanda HRH Alh Usman Abdullahi emphasized that the present administration has done tremendously well for his people, hence the need for the people to reciprocate the gesture for more democratic dividends.

He commended the security efforts of Governor Abdullahi Sule in the area, especially the dismantled of Darul-salam terrorist group, presence of investors such as ASMA and Flour Mills, construction of Umaisha/ Toto Road, rural electrification and other developmental strides.

“Even the blind can feel the development going on in our area and we don’t want to go back to the ugly old days, development of our people is what I want and this present government is doing so much for us, so we will support them to succeed so that we can get more from the government ” he said.

He appreciated the purposeful leadership of the Speaker Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi Whom he described as a blessing to the people of Umaisha /Ugya constituency, hence the need for the call on his people to return the Speaker to the state assembly, just as he urged his people to come out en masse and vote peacefully during the Saturday’s elections.

Other stakeholders who spoke in an interview, the former lawmaker representing the area, Hon. Musa Yusuf Omaki, former chairman Toto LGA, Prince Nuhu Adamu Dauda, the Overseer of the Development Area, Iliyasu Miriyam, APC chairman Toto LGA, Shuaibu Ahmed, woman leader of the area among others said Balarabe Abdullahi remains the best choice of the people of Umaisha/ Ugya constituency considering his track record of achievements.

They revealed that the people of the area are proud of the performance of the Speaker Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi and are ready to vote massively on Saturday to ensure his victory at the poll.

For an elder statesman in the area, Alh Sule Apolo, village heads and community leaders as well as youths and women groups said they have no reason not to return Balarabe Abdullahi to the House because he has shown to the people that politics has benefit and they can not afford to make a mistake of not returning him to the state legislature because they have benefited a lot under his leadership.

While the Chairman Toto LGA, Hon Abdullahi Aliyu Tashas has said that Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi remains the best man for the job.

For the man of the moment and Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has said that as a servant of his people he will continue to do his best for them.
