Neveah Limited, a prominent commodity trading company, has officially named Mr. Akinsola Akinyemi as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This announcement was made yesterday, with the company highlighting Akinyemi’s impressive financial background and more than 12 years of experience in various financial domains.

According to a statement issued by Neveah’s Managing Director/CEO, Mr. Ibidapo Lawal, Akinyemi possesses a strong track record in treasury management, regulatory reporting, financial accounting, performance management, tax planning, and management. He is renowned for identifying growth opportunities and enhancing business systems and processes.

Akinyemi holds a Bachelor’s degree in management and accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University. He is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA), an Authorized Dealer of the Nigerian Exchange, and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (ACS).

Prior to joining Neveah, Akinyemi held key financial positions, including Group CFO at Cordros Capital Limited, Group Financial Controller at United Capital Plc, Investment One Financial Services Limited, and Meristem Securities Limited. He also serves as the chairman of the statutory audit committee for a leading company in the ICT sector, providing valuable expertise in audit and risk management.

Under the leadership of Mr. Ibidapo Lawal, Neveah had achieved significant financial milestones, raising a total of N23,287,446,053.14 from the financial market while repaying N14,544,451,053.14. Over the past five years, the company has recorded impressive Compound Annual Growth Rates (CAGR) of 68% and 176% in revenue and profitability, respectively.

Neveah Limited recently concluded its series 6-13 Commercial Paper issuances, which garnered substantial interest from a diverse group of investors, including asset managers, insurance companies, PFAs, and trustees. The firm successfully raised N8.9 billion, with its most recent issuance being subscribed to at 97%.

The company is optimistic about Mr. Akinsola Akinyemi’s leadership, believing that his extensive experience and track record make him well-suited to continue the company’s journey toward financial excellence and continued growth.

In response to his appointment, Akinyemi expressed his excitement at joining Neveah as an Executive Director/CFO. He commended the company’s resilience and direction in these challenging times for small and medium enterprises, expressing his eagerness to contribute to its future achievements.
