Niger Delta Group Roots for SAS as APC Chair

In what looks like calculation ahead of the 2023 general elections, a group under the auspices of Coalition of Niger Delta Ex agitators and Youth leaders for Change have said Senator Ali Modu Sheriff is most qualified to steer the affairs of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the moment should the party zones the chairmanship to the North East.

The group at a rally to mobilise the people of the region to embrace the ongoing party’s revalidation and registration process also urged the Federal Government to immediately inaugurate the substantive board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to consolidate on the confidence the people of the region have in the APC led government.

Speaking separately at the rally headed by Engr. Jator Abido, Gen Peares Benjamine Kweke, Gen Pathfinder T, Kingsley Wabu and others all maintained that Sen Ali Amodu Sheriff posses the right credentials to lead the party considering his antecedence and steering leadership qualities.

“Sen Ali Modu Sheriff is the most qualified candidate for the national championship position of APC knowing his antecedence for nation building. He is a bridge builder that has his clout cut across all the regions of the country.

“At the point in time, the person to lead the party to electoral victory must be an experienced politician with administrative acumen and above all a bridge builder. These qualities and more are embedded in the person of Sen Ali Modu Sheriff, hence our decision to launch Senator Ali Modu Sheriff’s Consultative Movement which have started mobilising and canvassing for support for Sen Ali Amodu Sheriff for the position of the APC national chairmanship if zoned to the North East”.
The group further called on all the youths to take advantage of the ongoing APC membership revalidation and registration exercise so as to have a strong say as to who gets what in the 2023 general election.
