Nigeria Must Stay United In Justice -Governor Fayose

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has stressed the need for a United Nigeria where justice reigns as without justice there would be no peace.

Fayose who is in Edo state to deliver a lecture at the Benson Idahosa University made the statement when he paid a visit to the Oba of Benin.

He said “I came in the name of the people of my state and I felt it would only make sense if I pay courtesy visit to you Sir before going to BIU for the lecture.”

“You are royal and it fits you and some people occupy royal thrones but the seats don’t fit them watched in close quarters your activities and am impressed.

“Your majesty I cannot say enough of the few lessons we have learn here. Our traditional and culture can’t be wished away Education knowledge and wisdom are vital to our human existence.

I left office in controversial circumstances on Oct 16 2006 and came back exactly eight years after; I am the longest serving governor, I represent the belief that this country must stay unite in justice as without justice there would be no peace. I want to stay close to this palace and be an asset to it.

“You are a man of this generation and your support and advice would be invaluable. Ekiti is a stone throw away to Benin. We would expect you in our state and the Ewi of. Ado-Ekiti has close affinity with this palace”, he said.

Traditional rulers are the custodians of our culture and whether we ascribe any role to them on paper or not, they are the closest to the people and have ears to the ground. Those things we politicians in our hurry do not take not off, monarchs have the time and all that is necessary to get them.” he said.

Oba Ewuare commended the governor on his commitment to democracy and good governance out there and said he should keep on doing the good work in spite of the adversities being faced.

“We thank God for having you here today and coming to deliver the lecture at BIU. We have been following some of your political wars. We are in support of resolving conflicts peacefully,   indefatigable governor of Ekiti, I welcome you heartily and warmly to the palace.

“I want to commend those who escorted you here and made the visit possible. You spoke and confirm my observations that you are a leader and we always pray for peace and we strive for it in Benin here i Want to reassure you that this palace is your home an you can come official and privately.

“We can then have confidential discussions and exchange ideas.

“I am about to embark on post coronation nationwide tour and we will visit The Presidency first and Ekiti is one of our points of call”, he conclude.

Pius Akutah’s Alleged Fraud at Nigerian Shippers Council Uncovered

Investigations by Nigerian Concord Newspaper reveal that the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council, Mr. Pius Akutah, has allegedly misappropriated public funds for a lavish lifestyle.

According to our findings, within months of assuming office, Akutah allegedly purchased a bulletproof SUV valued at approximately N850 million. In addition, he is reported to have acquired over twenty exotic SUVs for use as a convoy.

Akutah is also said to have acquired multiple high-value properties, including three in Abuja’s Maitama and Asokoro districts worth over N2 billion, and two in Lagos’ Banana Island valued at N1.8 billion. These acquisitions appear far beyond the scope of his official salary and allowances.

Further investigation suggests that Akutah may be using public funds to support political ambitions, including allegedly grooming militants across 23 local government areas in Benue State for a potential 2027 gubernatorial bid.

Staff of the Shippers Council reportedly claim that Akutah frequently accesses the council’s treasury without proper authorization. Some insiders have indicated that a petition will soon be filed with the EFCC, ICPC, and the Presidency to report his alleged misconduct.
