Nigeria’s Jidda Shines At China-Africa Expo

Nigerian Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Ambassador Baba Ahmad Jidda, OFR, was the cynosure of attention the Third China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE) in Changsha, Hunan Province
, from June 28 to July 2, 2023.

The occasion which held between June 28 and ended on July, 2, was attended by many African Ministers and all African Ambassadors in China.
In his remarks,at the occasion, Ambassador Jidda who was the only African Ambassador that presented two different speeches at the 4-day China Africa Expo commended the organizers for acknowledging Nigeria among the guest countries of honor.
He said that Nigeria is an investor friendly country with over 200 million people making it the largest economy and the biggest market in Africa, as well as the fastest growing economy in the world.
The Ambassador urged potential investors to take advantage of Nigeria’s liberal economic policies with (ease of doing business) which aim to eliminate barriers to investment and attract foreign direct investment (FDI).
According to him,China’s relationship with Nigeria has grown stringer over the years, with increasing volume of trade and partnerships, hence the expo will tend to further strengthen the ties.
Ambassador Jidda who received accolades at the expo was the the view that, China’s place in global economic relations cannot be an easy discountanace, stressing the need for African countries to cue into China’s rapid economic growth as a way of galvanizing their own economies.
