The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has unveiled an advanced global learning management system integrated with Microsoft Teams. According to Professor Charles Anosike, the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of NiMET, this platform is set to expand global opportunities and foster collaborations with prestigious organizations worldwide.
Anosike emphasized that the new platform is designed to significantly enhance capacity development among NiMET personnel and support the agency’s online interactive training programs. The integration with Microsoft Teams will offer a seamless and comprehensive platform for collaborative training and development.
“This strategic initiative aligns with our commitment to continuous improvement and innovation,” Anosike stated. “We believe the LMS will transform our training programs and establish a new benchmark for online learning within the agency. Additionally, it will be accessible to the public, providing valuable insights into NiMET’s products and services.”
He also highlighted that this development is in line with the performance bond signed by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN, with Aviation Agencies’ Heads and their Directors in February 2024. Enhancing human capacity is a crucial objective in this performance bond.
